PinkFresh Studio: A Day in the City card and gift box

Hey, crafty friends!

Yesterday I was on PinkFresh Studio blog with a couple of projects using A Day in the City set. Here are some of the photos, for all the details, please, head on over to PinkFresh Studio blog.

I made a set of a card and a gift box with a see-through lid.

The box is nicely sized and can fit quite a lot!

I also made a holiday version of this box using Home for the Holidays set.

I have a process video of the box. You can watch it here or head on over to my YouTube channel.

Thank you for spending time with me! Have a great day and find time for something that makes you happy!

It’s STAMPtember! Let’s party!

Hey, crafty people! Yay! It’s party time! Thank you so much for dropping by for a couple of drinks before hitting yet another blog 🙂 It’s the best time of the year for us, crazy people with inky fingers and foam squares in the hair! It’s STAMPtember! Have you already seen the amazing release? Oh my! What are your favourites?

I won’t take much of your time, as there’s so much to see and to shop 🙂

I have two projects featuring Birthday Numbers set. Love the big bold dimenisional letters which will make a great focal point on a card and will look fabulous on a scrapbook layout or an art journal!

Here’s the first project. A somewhat masculine birthday card with a drop of rainbow.

I used Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolours to colour the letters.

The second project is a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout, which I shared yesterday on Instagram. Shocker, I know! Those of you who know me, must be surprised, as I have been making cards only. However, recently I got really inspired to try layouts – after all, it’s only a very big card, right? 🙂 We’ll see, where this takes me!

Anyway, this is about my son, who turned 13 in May. Look how awesome these Birthday Numbers look on a 12 x 12 page!

Before you leave, here’s a small gift for you, and make sure to check other blogs for even more bonuses! Have fun and party on! Make sure to check Simon Says Stamp blog for even more inspiration and the full list of all the blogs taking part in this party!

Gratitude Friday: My Favorite Things

It’s Friday and it’s time for Gratitude Friday. This is a monthly feature where I show gratitude and love for my favourite companies and people in the industry who enable us to express ourselves through art and crafting! You can find my first post dedicated to WPlus9 here.

Today it’s all about My Favorite Things – the company that is absolutely my favourite if we count the number of stamps sets and dies I own and the number of cards I’ve made with their goodies! You can see all my MFT cards on Instagram if you follow #craftawaywithme_mft – 211 cards so far.

I was incredibly lucky to be one of the winners of MFT 2017 Card design contest in the Clean and Simple category with this card.

I also was honoured to guest design on their blog. You can see my guest posts here, here and here.

Why do I love MFT so much? For incredible quality and amazing design of their products, for their fun card challenges, for their generosity and kindness, for being the company that cares, for their fabulous customer service, for making people… and me happy!

So today my card is for you, My Favorite Things! You are definitely worth roaring about! I’ve used Safari Friends set.

I coloured the lion with Copic markers and used distress inks to create the backbgound, as well as a stencil from MFT. By the way, I don’t have the coordinating dies for the set yet, so I fussy cut the lion, which I hardly ever do. See, how much I care for you, MFT? 🙂

It’s really hard for me to choose my favourite MFT cards, here are just a few. See more on Instagram here.

And as a little bonus for you for sticking around for so long (I really really appreciate this by the way), here’s a short video of a trifold card I made using Town Bear set.

Thank you for spending time with me! This means a lot! Have a great day and find time to do something that makes you happy!

Crafty hugs,

Natasha

Rubeena’s Crafting Anniversary Blog Hop: Day 1

Welcome to the next stop of Rubeena’s Crafting Anniversary 2-Day Blog Hop! This hop is epic with more than 70 guests and over $1,000 in sponsored prizes! You must have arrived from Kelly Latevola and I’m happy to see you at my place!

I’m so honoured to take part in this celebration alongside some of my favourite crafters and companies! (see the full list of sponsors and participants below) Rubeena always amazes me with gorgeous floral watercolour cards, so no wonder I chose to make one (two rather) myself to help her celebrate creativity.

I played with the new Grateful for Everything set from Concord and 9th. I stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa ink on a piece of watercolour card stock and coloured it with Distress oxide inks. I chose autumn colours for my project: Crushed Olive, Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, and Barn Door. I went for some messy colouringDistress oxide inks have a chalky finish to them when they get in touch with water, but I decided that this look worked quite well for my today’s card adding muted and almost frosty feel to this autumn bouquet. Finally, I die cut it with the coordinating die from the Grateful dies set.

For the background I used the same inks and a stencil from Studio Katia. It’s called Brush Stroke Waves but you can totally use it for so much more than just ocean cards!  I absolutely love it and can’t wait to play with it more!

I used dark brown base for the card and heat embossed the sentiment in gold on a piece of the same card stock. To finish off the card, I added splatters from the Grateful for Everything set and some golden splatters.

I had quite a lot of ink left on the stencil. And you gotta be frugal when you can, right? So I spritzed it with water and pressed another piece of watercolour card stock against it.

Then I stamped the floral image and added some more splatters. I used the die from the Grateful dies set and adhered it to the panel.

To jazz up this simple one layer card I added some clear drops.

I hope you like my cards and thank you for hopping along! I’ll be happy if you subscribe to my blog, find me on Instagram or You Tube.

Your next stop is amazingly talented Svitlana Shayevich The complete list of all the participants of Day 1 is below as well as information on incredible and generous sponsors!

Using small stamps to create patterns

Hey, crafty people! Happy to see you here! Dropping by to share a quick idea. Many sets have small images which are perfect for creating patterns. I love stamping them in kraft ink on kraft cardstock to make cute backdrops for the focal panels.

Below are three cards I made using this idea and the same card design.  Hope you get inspired to use small stamps from your favourite sets! Have a great day and find time to do something that makes you happy!

Pinkfresh Studio August Challenge

Hey, crafty people! Do you like challenges? If yes, there’s a new August Challenge on Pinkfresh Studio blog. It’s all about Summer and soft colour palette.

I made two clean and simple cards. For the first one I used Smile with Botanicals die and Let Your Heart Decide set. The sentiment is from Let’s Flamingle set.

For the second card I stamped Dainty Botanicals in pink, mint and yellow, and heat embossed a couple twigs in gold. The sentiment is again from Let’s Flamingle set.

And of course I couldn’t waste the letters from the first card! So I made a very quick card.

I just swiped mini ink cube against the panel to create background, toned the letters with Picked Raspberry distress ink and heat embossed this awesome sentiment from A Case of the Blahs set on a piece of black cardstock.

Make sure to check Pinkfresh Studio blog for more inspiration. We can’t wait to see what you create for the challenge! Remember, you can win very generous prizes!

You are fruitastic!

Hey, kind people! Happy to see you here! Hope you are having a great week! I would like to share with you two cards I made using Fruitastic set from Pinkfresh Studio.

Pinkfresh Studio.

I love this set for the cute images perfect for summer cards and also for the fun you have when just stamping and playing with your inks!

First card is a strawberry one. I shared it yesterday on Instagram. I like how you can create cute pattern with small images from the set.

The rest is simple: I stamped the berries in red and green, and coloured the leaves with Zig Clean Real Brush markers. Stamped the sentiment in kraft ink (green would look fresh, don’t you think?), and the card is ready.

For the second card I used Simple and Sweet patterned paper from Pinkfresh Studio. I don’t often use patterned paper, although I do have quite a few pads – I just sometimes can’t say ‘no’ to pretty paper!

I added some black splatters to the panel with Licorice watercolour from Pinkfresh Studio as I planned to stamp my sentiment in black.

I stamped and die cut the lemons and adhered them to a craft panel. As simple as that. I stamped the sentiment in black and added some details to the lemons with a black gel pen.

Hope you like these Fruitastic cards and to thank you for dropping by I have some information for you: Pinkfresh Studio recently hit 40K followers on Instagram, and we are having an awesome 40% sale on select items to celebrate! And…on Friday there will be even more! So stay tuned and make sure to check on Pinkfresh Studio IG account!

Take care and have a geat day!
